Cache
A place to store something more or less temporarily. Web pages you request are stored in your browser’s cache (pronounced “cash”) directory on your hard disk. When you return to a page you’ve recently viewed, the browser can get most of the information from the cache rather than the original server. A cache saves you time and saves the network the burden of additional traffic. You can usually vary the size of your cache, depending on your particular browser.
