Internet Protocol. A standard concerning data transmission formatting and transactions. Frequently used as a short form of “ip number”, the unique number that each machine on the internet is identified with.
Keyword Effectiveness Index. A measure of the effectiveness of a keyword in terms of search frequency and competition for the keyword. Low is bad, High is Good in Keyword Effectiveness Index.
Referring to Meta Tags. Metadata elements is the formal name for the Meta Tags that appear in the head portion of the HTML web page. w3.org descibes the metadata as “information about a document rather than document content”.
From Directory Mozilla. The Open Directory Project. Quoting from the DMOZ home page, “The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors”.
