If you being using Google Analytics for a while, you will be realize that there are couple of obvious short coming in google analytic feature. This are the two main problem here for us ( exclude the data we intend to collect issue ):

  1. The google analytic statistic is one day delay.
  2. The google analytic can’t keep track of Search Engine Robot Crawler.

When you make the decision for which web analytic software to use. The main factor for us to consider is usually what kind of data we want to collect and whether the software have the ability to do that or not. Collecting the right data is definitely essential to put that to work for our business by knowing our position, our KPI (Key Performance Index) and create the next improvement action list.

Different industry and business have different KPI to keep track of and it’s all depend on the business objective. Our hoobin.com KPI is just a simple one and I can honestly said it’s still not quite effective yet. That’s why I’m will be working out a new KPI for making money online industry in this hoobin.com. For now, focus on creating a site that have the definitive list of making money online resources my top priority.

So far, I can tell you that to compete in this niche is the most competitive industry I even in. The internet marketing or making money online industry is way to saturated and it’s definitely not good for new comer.

Well, I”m not sure whether google analytic will be the right fit for this online money making industry and having the data available for us to make analysis to create a better site. But it’s definitely crucial to kick start your web analytic skill and know your web business figure as soon as possible.

Solution 2 : How To Know Search Engine Robot Crawler Have Visit And Index Your New Page?

Web analytic software that use javascript such as google analytic can’t detect visitor that disable the JavaScript. So search engine robot crawler is one of them. You can’t keep track of search engine robot when you use google analytic.

The only way to work around is check your log file or log statistic software. There are couple web statistic software install in your standard hosting package. You can find it under your CPanel. You can check your log raw data but we recommend using the Awstats software under the Robots/Spiders visitors section. It’s will show when is the latest robot visit for each search engine robot. By check this for a week, you will roughly know how effective is your search engine effort.

Google Analytic offer very powerful feature for you to analysis your online traffic for free. But you need to know what it can do and what it can not do. We recommend install all the free web analytic tools and slowly work out the Key Performance Index that you like to track. Then you can decided whether you would like to switch to more powerful commercial web analytic software. By that time, you already know what question to ask your commercial software vendor, whether they will keep track of the data you like to see:)
