The New York Times journalist, Saul Hansell manage to get a closer look at google approach to search result. Google research search team are continue tweaking the google search ranking using multiple “signal” and human touch to refine their search engine relevancy.

Our view here is never trick a search engine, it’s a never ending *story* and *effort* if you try to trick search engine.

The best things you can do is …

1. Make sure your content is good.
2. Promote Your Website Link and Story everywhere.
3. Networking around with your fellow blogger or your industry people.
4. Engage with your customer or reader.

Of course, you will have better result if you have basic search engine knowledge such as … ensure that your page is being indexed, well optimize for certain keyword, and have more incoming links. But don’t over do it. Stick to old fashion way of marketing such as positioning, good content and etc is sometime your best bet for high search engine ranking. End of the day, it’s the traffic your want.
