It’s Being A Google PageRank Storm!

The Google PageRank Storm is coming in, a few high page rank blogger have drop their page rank tremendously.

The reason is still unclear!

Of course

• First,we suspect it’s the work of selling paid links and passing around pagerank juice that violated google policy.
• Second, it’s might be the interlink between passing out pagerank juice to their network.

Whatever the reason, it’s too late to do anything now.

Is This Google Evil Act?

In long run, personally I think this will do Good to the internet. Quality content provider should be happy even though they lose a bit of their income for now, as long as their don’t sell link and pass pagerank juice to crappier content provider. They will be the one who are getting TRAFFIC from google, not the one who have a lot of money to take shotcut to cut corner to buy paid links.

I think this is FAIR for the searcher who are really looking for good content and FAIR for quality content provider who work hard for links.

Due to the fact that nobody dare to take a stand since buying and selling link have become a norm. We follow the crowd since it’s really good *MONEY* and as a publisher, we want that money. ( really competitive market here )
But I strongly disagree to penalize interlink, that’s human nature. Even though from a quality content provider point of view, your friend or your network content is not necessary up to the bar as your good page rank site content, but it’s seem silly not to link. The only way I can think of is for google to detect not passing the link juice, but not penalize the site. Or google can choose to REMAIN the PageRank website rather then increase it.

It’s like setting up TRAP for people to do that, and this piss people off. Anyway, it’s just a speculation if the Google PageRank drop is cause by the network interlink.

The blogosphere is getting BIG hit by this storm. Who is affected? Base on couple of reading from blogosphere, it’s seem like Andy Beard are the one who start talking about lose page rank thing. He start dig out the whole lose page rank things and list out who is losing the page rank:

I’m sure there are many more. We all lost a bit of money here, but I strongly believe it’s good for the internet. We all are searcher, and we really want to search for good content, not some website owner who have the money to buy links.

We have promoted paid link program early, I think it’s about time to take it down the program and rethink what is RIGHT for the internet and set the TONE right.

I know it’s feel hurt in the beginning but we still have way to make money online by advertisement, affiliate program and selling our own service rather then selling links.

Lastly, if you ask us who is will benefit here? I think Google, Searcher and Quality Content Provider will definitely benefit from this storm. Well, what do you think of this PageRank things?
