Keyword

A word or phrase important to a subject or web page relating to that subject. Keywords are used to help search enginees identify the content on a page in order to index it appropriately so that web searchers can locate it. Keywords are also used in pay-per-click advertising services, such as Google AdWords, that offer website owners the opportunity to bid on keywords relevant to their sites in order to have their advertisements displayed when potential customer searches on or visits a website relating to the keyword
