My Page Is Gone! It’s No Longer In The Top SERP In Google.
Well, we have this weird experience for the last couple week. Our new page suddenly rank very well for certain competitive keyword, and then it’s just disappear from top search engine result page(SERP).
Our SERP Is Driving Us Nut
We did share our this weird experience in last month post : Is Google SERP Confuse You?, we listed most of the reason why our blog search result ranking is really confusing us sometime in that post.
But still, it’s didn’t explain much about why our page that rank well this week and suddenly it’s just being bury or drop to the bottom of SERP for the next several weeks. Until we found an answer …
Is Sandbox Effect?
We thought is the Sandbox effect, but it’s not. It’s the google aging delay effect for new blog. This SERP have drive us nut for a while - during our intensive testing of search engine optimization. Now, we get a better picture of how to deal with this. So don’t be surprise that if you have a new blog that rank well and for the next couple day you are down to bottom again.
So stop modify and modify again in your new blog because everything works fine but it just wouldn’t rank well for any terms in Google yet.
Anyway, there is some exception when you are in the google sandbox. When you are in the google sandbox, you just can’t rank well. But if blog is not in the sandbox and still your blog wouldn’t rank well even for your unique company name, then it’s The Google Aging Delay Effect!
Why Aging Delay?
We think aging delay is the way how Google’s answer to those multi-blog-site strategies intended to artificially inflate link popularity by creating many blog or website.
Well for sure, we all heard of many people do or divide what should be a single site into multiple sites in order to capitalize on the links that are exchanged between them. Or others build a lot of small sites that are only designed to add link popularity to the main site.
So by delaying the ranking of brand new sites, the multiples blog strategy becomes more of a long-term strategy rather then a quick way to the top SERP. So it’s pretty hard to get those multiples blog strategy work effectively for new blog or site.
How To Deal With Google Aging Delay?
Our Advise is …
- Plan ahead.
- Start early.
- Buy old domain site.
- Buy existing website.
- Target on yahoo and msn search traffic for the first 6 months.
Or just be Patience …
So I guess google is telling us that GOOD THING always come later. I hope this answer many people question about “My page is gone from top google search engine result!”.
