This Will Go Down In History For AndrewTalk

I think I”m a bit late in reading this post even though I subscribe to John Chow RSS in my bloglines ( But recently due to the lack of good tips, I’m skip most of his post anyway ), but I think John is coming back with a better strategy, which is getting more good guest bloggers to blog in his blog. Anyway, this post is definitely will go down in history for the most negative paid review blog post for us to talk about.

The Story

Andrew has order $400 ReviewMe from John Chow hoping to get some traffic from John review. The things is … he has cut and past some of the blog posts John has written. And to ask John for a paid review by reviewing John own work in Andrew blog, this is definitely not a good move! I really don’t know what Andrew is thinking.

As you can guess, things really turn ugly. John Chow has written one of the worst and negative review I ever see in the history of blog world. Andrew is totally being screw in this review. 60% of the blogger who take a survey think that Andrew shouldn’t be blog again in his blog even thought he ask for apology and remove all the copy content.

What I Think?

I can see Andrew is definitely a new blogger looking for a quick way to blog for profit. The mistake is the common mistake that most money blogger did, copy from an articles, modify a bit, and post it as his own. I think Andrew might skip the part of “modify a bit”. The better way will be rewrite the whole article and put your personal thought into it.

Of course, what normally happen is when you spot your content is being steal, you will write an email to the site owner to ask the site owner to verify or kindly take down the copy articles.

But for this case, this is just classic, how often this thing happen that a “copycat” order a $400 paid review from you and also copy your work?

No doubt, John is a bit harsh on him. But John have every right to be angry at him for copying his work anyway. I think Never copy, Always rewrite an article and put your personal thought into it is a MUST! Best, write your own articles or hire someone to do it!

Andrew have done the right things after realize his mistake. His courage to apology and take down all the copy content deserve some credit. But the damage is being done. Even though we all would give him a second chance but it’s will take sometime for him to build up that trust again with his readers. Well, good luck Andrew, at least you got the successful bad publicity and now you have become the center of conversations for some bloggers. But it’s really up to you to keep making the right move from now. Just remember, blogging is a process not an end result.

What do you think? Do you think Andrew deserve a second chance?
