We know that blog is really make our life easy when doing the publishing content. But there are some common mistakes we make in our blog that have cost us greatly after we dig in deeper into our SEO blog effort.

The Title, The title is one of the very important things you can do to optimize your search engine result.
But most blog theme put the title theme as
Blog Articles Title - Blog Home Page Title
If you home page title is more then 2 words, then google search engine might think you have all the similar pages. To have google think you have a lot of similar pages is not very good.
To Checks to see how many pages or articles that google think your blog is uniques:
Type this
site:yourdomainname.com
And if you see google have omit your some of your indexed pages because of similarity, then you might need to fix this.
Here is what we suggest. Try to change it to :
- “Blog Articles Title” (Good)
- “Only One Keyword From Homepage Name Blog Articles Title” (Good)
- “Blog Articles Title” – “Only One Keyword From Hompage Name Here” (Fair)
Example of Bad Title
- ”Blog Articles Title” – “2-3 Keywords From Homepage Name Here” (Bad)
- ”2-3 Keywords From Homepage Name” – “Blog Articles Title” ( really Bad)
- ”Keywords From Hompage Name” (really really Bad)
Another “title” common mistake is not having <title> straight away after the <html>, but we still don’t have any prove yet showing that search engine can’t read the title properly if not right after the <html> code. Anyway, it’s good not to take chances.
But definitely, by not having a unique title, you lose the chances to get hits from “Long Tail” Search Traffic.
