Where Do They Hang Out? Here Is Report From NetRatings.

Base on NetRatings report. The United State people spend the most minutes time online with AOL Media Network, follow by Yahoo, MSN, Fox, Google, EBay. Here is the report:

The main reason of this report is to show page view is no longer an accurate metric for website like video site and online game site. The way I look at it is there is a rise to portal website to capture direct traffic but we still don’t have enough low cost strategy to capture the audience from the portal site.

Traffic Trend

There are emerging articles and post start talking about how to use squidoo, dig, stumble upon, myspace, friendster and etc to bring in new traffic to blog. But there still leave a very big gap on how to talk to those AOL and Yahoo users. I don’t know, maybe AOL and Yahoo will never send traffic to you unless you “paid”. Well, this is the area that we can look it to that.

More Money

If you look at the recent cnn-money business web 2.0 promising 20 startup, most of their business model is on advertising and subscribsion. There are a lot of advertising money to be make here. And those startup will definitely make our blogger more money by bring in more advertising money and venture capital money. I don’t have the exact figure but this is definitely an increasing and promising market to be in. This decade is the time of “infopreneur” to shine. Be Happy Blogger! Well, one good example is pay per post has make a lot of blogger happy except us.
